Plated Review 2: Peruvian Lomo Steak Stir-Fry

This was both great and a miss. As far as veggies go, Manbeast and I aren’t incredibly found of peppers and onions. We love a good carrot, broccoli, or pea, but peppers and onions? Nah. So while we wish there had been more variety in this, we really appreciated the steak and potatoes part, and that was truly delicious.

The steak is marinated in “aja amarillo” and a spice packet which gives it just a little bit of a chili kick, but didn’t taste too spicy to Manbeast (he has a lower threshold for spice than I do, I did live in Korea afterall). This was like, really super-delicious perfectly seasoned steak.


I overcooked the potatoes though. But I didn’t destroy any cutting boards this time.

Alas, I forgot to get a picture of the finished product.

So a fact about Plated, that is going to be good or bad depending on how you look at it, is that when they say two servings, you get two servings. None of the dishes have had a lot of leftovers (if any), and as someone who loves to take leftovers for lunch (and hates homemade sandwiches)… it’s not the end of the world though, it saves us from overeating, and it saves our fridge from having an absurd amount of food in it that always seems to get pushed to the back and forgotten. Yes, we are the worst adults. Tomorrow: Adventures with gnocchi!
